Congratulations to Anya Edwards from East Grand Forks, for being named the Red Pepper High School Athlete of the Week!

Edwards, a Junior guard for the Eagles basketball team, averaged over 18-points per game as they won three games and the championship of the Northland Holiday Tournament.  She notched a double/double in the opening game with 25 points and 10-steals.  Edwards was also named the tournament’s MVP.

Hannah Arason

Congratulations to Hannah Arason from Grand Forks for being named the Red Pepper High School Athlete of the Week!

Arason, a senior guard for the Rider girls basketball team averaged over 16 points along with 11 rebounds per game last week as the Riders picked up a pair of wins.  She hit for 26-points and 10 – rebounds in a win over Grand Forks Central.  She then came back with 7-points and 12-rebounds as the Riders beat Fargo South.

Congratulations to Samantha Brandt from Grand Forks, for being names the Red Pepper High School Athlete of the Week!

 

Samantha is a Sr. at Red River High School and is a member of the Boarder Blades Figure Skating Club.  She recently passed her Sr. Free Skate test with the US Figure Skating Association, becoming only the 2nd skater in club history to earn this distinction.  Samantha now holds “Gold Status” in 2 categories and will test for a 3rd this Spring.

Congratulations to Max Miller from Grand Forks, for being named the Red Pepper High School Athlete of the Week!            

Max is a Jr. on the Red River boys hockey team and he had a big week last week. Max scored 4 goals in a victory over crosstown rival, Grand Forks Central and picked up another goal and an assist in a victory over Grafton, giving him a 6 point week.

Congratulations to Zac Tradewell for being named the Red Pepper High School Athlete of the Week!            

Zac is a Sr. on the Win-E-Mac Boys basketball team. He had a big week last week, averaging over 20 points a game.  He scored 20 in a victory over Climax/Fisher, 23 points in a win over Red Lake County and 28 in a loss to Mahnomen.
