Congratulations to Baden Riplinger from Grand Forks for being named the Red Pepper High School Athlete of the Week!

Baden is a Jr. on the Grand Forks Red River baseball team and has joined ranks of un-hittable pitchers on that squad.  Coming on the heels of his teammate Collin Hennessy’s perfect game, Baden did what most pitchers wouldn’t dare to even dream of, throwing back-to-back “no-no’s”!  He was un-hittable against Wahpeton, as RRHS needed only 5 innings to 10-run the Huskies.  Baden stayed hot, throwing a 7 inning no-hitter against Fargo South on his very next trip to the hill.  Amazing!

Congratulations, Baden Riplinger!  You are the Red Pepper High School Athlete of the Week!  A donation to the Red Pepper scholarship fund will be made in your name.

Adam is a Freshmen on the Grand Forks Red River boys golf team and he had a big week pacing the Roughriders golf team. Adam shared Medalist honors with a 77 at Kings Walk during the Grand Forks Invitational and he followed that up with scores of 78 and 75 to lead Red River to the team title at the East West Classic in Jamestown. It turns out he was only getting warmed up at those events, though.  Adam went on to shoot a tournament winning 7 birdie 68 at the Rose Creek Invitational.
